My problems as a dog owner started many years ago when I had a rescue Dobermann, Henry. He never did as I requested, would bully visitors and barked all the time. Even more worryingly, he then started to attack my partner and myself.
We discussed Henry’s problems with/talked to our vet and tried the local dog club, but everyone had the same answer - put him to sleep. We persevered until the attacks got too bad and had to make that heart breaking decision.
If only I knew then what I know now, he would have had a happy and relaxed life until old age. Unfortunately Bark Busters was not around back then.
You can imagine my concern when my standard schnauzer, at 6 months, started howling at 4am, destroying the kitchen when I went out and jumped up at everyone to the point of climbing on people. I knew I had to do something and promptly began searching on the Internet. Thankfully I came across Bark Busters and called them immediately to relay my tale.
A session was arranged; the Therapist was amazingly patient especially as Monty climbed on top of her! I explained the rest of the problems, she showed me some simple training techniques and I saw a fantastic change in him straight away. I worked on the programme I was left and he has changed dramatically. I was so impressed.
However, I couldn’t get Henry out of my mind and wondered how many other people are going through the same trauma. I wanted to know how I could help other owners and their dogs, so I contacted Head Office at Bark Busters and after meeting with Tony and Carol, I knew this was the life for me.
Now I understand how I could have helped Henry and know that I’ll never be put in that position again. I can make sure you do not have to make that awful decision by helping you to train your dog, whatever the problem.
How lucky am I to live the dream!

Fantastic! We have seen immediate results. We now have a quiet happy household. More importantly Danny is much more settled now he is not trying to be a leader. Thanks.

Dave responded very well to the training. He has started to listen to me and thinks twice before going to chase Mode. Long way to go with him but I am now confident we'll get there.

Hide note from Diane Griffiths, Bark Busters Trainer
Dave is a beautiful Retired Racing Greyhound. He now shares his life with 2 other dogs and 6 cats. Mode is a cat and Dave thinks he has to chase it.
He is such a lovely nature and with the correct training methods he will quickly learn not to do this.
