Dog Training & Behavioural Therapist for Exeter & Devon

Sandra Hughes, Dog Obedience Trainer & Behavioural Therapist for Exeter & Devon

Being the proud owner of a dog can mean lots of happy times enjoying each others company. Being the owner of a dog that is showing some kind of behavioural problem can become a nightmare.

As a Master Dog Trainer Behavioural Therapist within the Bark Busters home dog training organisation I see on a daily basis the stress that can be caused by, excessive barking, aggression, separation anxiety, inappropriate toileting, jumping up. Even just walking the dog can become something that is dreaded because of the constant pulling.

If you are struggling with your dog's bad behaviour please do give me a call. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a well behaved dog that actually listens to you?

I have always had a love of dogs and been interested in their behaviour. I was a volunteer puppy walker for Guide Dogs for the Blind Association for seven years and have studied Canine Psychology via a home study course with the Animal Care College. I first heard of Bark Busters and their work through a well known dog magazine. The article was all about diet and the dramatic effect it can have on a dog's behaviour. I looked on the Bark Busters web site and, as they say one thing led to another and the rest is history. Since joining Bark Busters my knowledge of dog behaviour problems and how to cure them has increased enormously. For me the Bark Busters system held the "key" that I hadn't found anywhere else to understanding dogs and their behaviour. Our techniques are simple both for dog and owner! I teach owners how to communicate effectively with their dog; it is extremely rewarding work if not a little challenging at times!

So whether your dog's behaviour problem is barking, aggression, separation, anxiety, inappropriate toileting, pulling, jumping up or any other behavioural problem no matter how bizarre it may seem to you! Give me a call. I'd love to help you and your dog.

Dog Training TestimonialsWhat My Clients Say

Bark Busters value feedback so we give every customer a feedback form which may be returned freepost to our Head Office. Where permission has been given, these testimonials are taken from those feedback forms...

I already feel more comfortable asserting myself with Max. I hope we can continue to make improvements and that Max can continue to notice that I am the boss and that he can rely on me to protect him. Simply by tipping the balance Max seems more docile, happier and relaxed. Five star service.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Bark Busters to anybody with a problem pooch. When Sandra came around she listened to our issues with our 9yr old dog before suggesting possible causes and then suggesting possible workable solutions. After only 2/3hrs we noticed an immediate and positive response as any barking at the door/hoover had stopped. We look forward to working with Sandra to resolve our other issues that our training has already undertaken. I am so glad we dicided to give you a try.

I find it hard to grasp that a day could change so much after only one session with Sandra. We have our furniture and bed back and she is still happy to be on the floor. We are determined to continue the training until she is just what we hoped for. I would recommend Bark Busters to anyone.
