Home Dog Training Lewisham, South East London & Puppy Education

Home Dog Training Lewisham & South East London

Welcome to dog training Lewisham and South East London, my name is Sydney Coleman and I am your local Bark Busters dog behaviour therapist and trainer. I come to your home to meet you and your family to help to resolve all your dog's behaviour problems. I listen to your concerns, assess the behaviour problems that you have with your dog, whilst observing the behaviours in the home, or I walk out with you for lead work if you are experiencing problems outside the home. I then develop a tailored training programme for you and your family to follow. I will demonstrate the training techniques, show you the fun games that replicate real life problems to stop the unwanted behaviours and to teach your dog the new wanted behaviours. Before I leave you, I ensure that you and your family can use the various techniques and exercises to continue the progress made in our first lesson.

Our unique Bark Busters Support Guarantee gives you peace of mind that you only pay once, and I return free of charge to help and support you for the period you decide to purchase. I provide ongoing support for any existing behaviour problems and for any new problems that develop in the future.

If you are looking for dog training near you in Lewisham and South East London areas, then you have found the right place. If you are frustrated with your dog's behaviour or are not fully enjoying your relationship with your dog, I’m looking forward to meeting you to get things back on track. Maybe you are looking for general training to stop the pulling on the lead or training or the reactiveness to people or other dogs is causing you to dread walks. Perhaps, your dog won’t come back to you when off lead, or in the home your dog is barking too much, jumping up at visitors or suffers from separation anxiety. If you are looking to give your puppy the best start in life, or you are soon to have a puppy arrive, then my puppy training package is right for you.

There are many behaviours and breeds of dogs, that I can help with, from tiny Chihuahua’s, naughty terriers, herding Border Collies, energetic Staffordshire Bull's, to aggressive German Shepherds, hounds and hunting dogs.

About me
I grew up in North Kent and consider myself very lucky to have grown up around lots of dogs.  My parents fostered and adopted dogs, mostly labradors, but other smaller breeds too.  My mother helped to retrain dogs ready for others to adopt, but many ended up staying, because she couldn't bare to give them up. One time, we had 7 dogs in total with many of them being Labradors. I also helped walk and retrain them too, but didn’t have the knowledge I have now.

I originally studied business and marketing management at college, but the roles I had in the corporate world did not provide the enjoyment or fulfilment and I always felt there was something missing. While searching for my dream job, I went to stay with my mother, who had moved to a different part of the UK. She had become a successful Bark Busters Dog Behaviour Therapist and trainer and was enjoying the work enormously. Having talked with her and seen how happy she was, I realised that joining the Bark Busters family myself, would be the perfect way to satisfy my own love of dogs and help people to enjoy their furry family members.  It was the best decision of my life!

The two dogs in my family now, have both had behaviour problems in the past. Buster, a labrador, now 10 years old, was reactive to other dogs and a puller too, but using the calm, positive Bark Buster training methods, of voice tones and body language, I now enjoy my walks with him, and we can once again have fun off lead. Enzo is a cockerpoo and he arrived as a puppy for my younger sister. He was a normal puppy, chewing carpets and furniture, having toilet accidents, biting hands with his needle teeth, and grabbing clothing and jumping up. He needed educating and to learn how to respond to family requests, and he was pretty hard work too. He is now a lovely 4-year-old, that I can feel proud of.

Whether you are a new or experienced pet parent but have an issue that is ongoing or has only just appeared, have a rescue dog which needs help to settle in, or you would like advice before you get a puppy, I would love to help. Please do contact me for a no obligation chat to find out how I can help you get the relationship with your dog that you have always wanted.
