Bark Busters Reviews and Customer Testimonials

30th July 2018 - Alex Fraser

Alex dealt with Aggression, Puppy management

Alex gave excellent advice and very useful and effective techniques to deal with unwanted behaviour . My dog Hendrix is already showing great improvement in all areas.

- -.D, Littleborough, Greater Manchester (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Alex

Hendrix is a lovely puppy but used to communicate too much with his mouth which was painful for his owner, who has owned a number of large breeds in the past. Hendrix responded really well to the training we did and by the time I was writing up my notes, he was fast a sleep. Mental stimulation is a great way to help any dog relax and sleep.

Can’t wait to catch up with them both in the future.

29th July 2018 - Ben Jordan

Ben dealt with Jumping up, Recall

Ben very quickly established where we needed help with Ted, and as soon as we went outside to the park, he demonstrated how we should be behaving. The results were remarkable. When we returned home, Ben showed me a couple more techniques that could be tried with Ted, all of which were designed to reinforce the behaviour we want from him. Since Ben's visit, Ted's behaviour when out walking has been markedly improved and he no longer feels the need to jump over everyone he sees and endow them with doggy kisses!

Trainer note from Alex

Bella is a lovely puppy and was very responsive to the training methods I teach my customers. I would love to catch up with them all in the future but to be honest I don’t think I’ll be needed, as long as they consistant with Bella moving forward.

27th July 2018 - Estelle Jackson

Estelle dealt with Barking, Jumping up, Other

Archie has a few bad habits. I have been amazed at how quickly he seems to be responding to the training advised by Estelle. She explained how to deal with the issues really well, and we all felt very comfortable and confident that the programme will work. I'm sure we will have our difficult moments, but having the peace of mind that there is someone on hand to help is reassuring. Looking forward to our next steps on teaching Archie to be a well behaved lurcher.

Having 2 boisterous dogs who didn't follow my commands I needed to be in charge After this first visit I'm now more confident in carrying on the recommended training Gavin has been most informative & weve covered all issues of concern. Best of all my dogs have behaved very well during the time. Won't hesitate to recommend him & his calm manner!

24th July 2018 - Neil Price

Neil dealt with Barking, Pulling, Recall

Neil instantly put us at ease on his visit. He was calm around my dog which puzzled her a little! He listened to what we said and made sure to write everything down which made me feel that he was really taking notice of our worries. He came on a walk with us and gave us some really useful feedback. He was really gentle with Carly and reassured us that her behaviour was not a problem and could be modified so we have a better relationship with her. By the end of the session, Carly was sat next to him on the sofa which was a real result!

- -.D, Darwen, Lancashire (Testimonial)

We thought Kevin was very personable and helpful and the session was very thorough - telling us and, more importantly, showing us what to do with our nervous and troubled dogs. Follow up support was also helpful and we feel our dogs are progressing in the right direction.

Remote Training Team dealt with Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Pulling

Angela was superb and we have already made progress. She was really good at explaining what we needed to do and understanding why our dogs have certain behaviours. There are still a couple of aspects we need her help on so I am in the process of arranging for her to visit us again.

Remote Training Team dealt with Recall

We would like to thank Angela for giving us the information on teaching our dog Jess. She has anxiety issues. The way Angela taught us the skills to aid Jess has given us the confidence to work with Jess. We are 4mths into her retraining and she has come on leaps and bounds. She is more confident . She has learnt she can trust our judgment and listens to our commands. We now have s dog who is 90% improved . And is a pleasure to take out . .

It's been wonderful to see her progress and to see you much happier with her new, improved confidence and focus. Thanks Angela.

20th July 2018 - Graham Milgrew

Graham dealt with Aggression, Pulling

The relationship between myself and Hatch had broken down and I felt scared of him at times. Since my first meeting with Jo, we have noth changed so much. Hatch responds to me and I feel confident to give instructions and to manage him. I understand him better and he therefore respects me. Hand feeding was a key turning point for us both and a great suggestion from Jo. Thank you so much.

- -.A, Croydon, Surrey (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
Hatch is a Nova Scotia Duck Toller and was bought as they are generally very good family dogs, however, Hatch was badly behaved with both the female owners and her children when he would happily listen to the male owner. This is not uncommon in adolescent dogs, but he had got to the point of growling as well as not listening so the owner relationship had completely broken down as a result. When a dog has no respect and/or has no bond with his owner, making him work for his food while training can rebuild the bond. Everything comes from the owner and the owner becomes important to the dog. Training therefore becomes a pleasure rather than a source of conflict. This is not a "cure all". Owners have to understand what is happening with their dog and Hatch's owner went out of her way to see things from Hatch's point of view as well as her own. In return Hatch responded really well once he understood what was expected from him.
