Beau is a Beautiful Chocolate Labrador but she certainly has a mind of her own and needed some direction. Following my first visit her owner has certainly put the hours in, which has resulted in a very well behaved dog. Well done!!

As you can see from his photo, Toby was a beautiful little boxer pup when I first met him, and like all puppies - he was so full of beans. Toby simply needed some rules and guidelines as to what behaviour was acceptable and his owner has done a great job. Toby is now a well balanced and calm boxer and I am confident he will continue to behave himself in the future.

Until I met Sam I didn't realise how high-pitched some dogs can bark - he was truly off the scale. He was such an affectionate dog, but his barking was becoming a real issue. I am really pleased with how he has improved and I am confident that if they continue to do everything I asked them to do he will continue to get better and better. What a smashing little dog!

Brodie is a cracking little dog, but he really felt that he needed to be in charge of their house. His owners worked really hard on the training plan I had set them and by my second visit he was a different dog - so much calmer. Keep up the good work!

Deaf dogs are just as trainable as normal dogs. They simply need a different form of communication. All owners of deaf (and blind) dogs will tell you that this soon becomes second nature, but at the start it is a case of learning a new language and then teaching your dog what this new language is. Dogs are not robots and one size doesn't fit all, so it is working out a strategy to deal with your dog based on how your dog responds to you. In Georges case he is fortunate to have an older more experienced Boxer, Bogey, to learn from as well as his owners, but Bogey was getting just as carried away with playtime as George and forgetting to listen to his owners, so it was a case of double trouble. His owners have now been working with both dogs establishing sign language, touch and floor vibrations for George and sign language plus vocal commands for Bogey so both dogs know what they can and can't do and what is expected from them. Instead of two huge Boxers running around creating havoc they now have a calm household where the dogs look to them for guidance. As George is young and a typical bouncy Boxer this will take time, but no more time than a normal hearing Boxer now he understands what is wanted from his owners. A truly great result.

I really appreciate the honesty of this testimonial. Some behavioural issues do take time resolve but never be disheartened. With time and effort spent carrying out the tailored training plan I set for Monty and his owner, he is continuing to improve which is excellent. He really is a lovely little dog!!

Hattie is a lovely dachshund who sometimes feels overwhelmed by what is happening around her. Her owners needed some direction in how to help her cope with situations and become more confident.
