Bark Busters Reviews and Customer Testimonials
6th March 2022 - Estelle Jackson
Estelle spent the first part of the session to understand Alf's background (former Bosnian street dog rescue) and to understand the dog. She was very friendly and was a good listener. She has left us some "homework" to do with Alf before our next session in a couple of weeks time. Much better than the last dog trainer we had.
4th March 2022 - Liz Johnson
Liz provided us with a very informative overview of the training and the thinking behind it in a friendly, easy to understand manner. She demonstrated the methods to use and assisted us in their delivery . She left us feeling that we would be able to overcome the issues we have with Jasper and the initial goals set we feel are definitely achievable before her next visit. Thank you for your help
2nd March 2022 - Ben Jordan
Right from the start Ben filled me with confidence he is so knowledgeable and friendly. The first session lasted nearly 4 hours, we did some lessons in the house and then went out for a walk where there were quite a few dogs, as we entered the park my reactive dog barked and growled at a dog leaving, Ben immediately took control and let her know this was definitely not acceptable, for the rest of our time he was teaching me as well as Maya how to behave correctly. We have put this training into practice every day since his visit and I am most definitely seeing improvement in her behaviour. He has given me the confidence to take her out and not avoid other dogs at all costs.
1st March 2022 - Alex Fraser
Could not recommend Alex at Bark Busters enough. He was extremely patient with our dog Bozzer who is incredibly hyperactive and anxious with new people in the house. Alex was able to give us training advice immediately understanding what Bozzer needed. We spent a couple of hours together rehearsing new techniques to reduce Bozzer's anxiety during the day so that he is much calmer to deal with other things. Bozzer still needs work - and that is on us to do and keep on top of but we all feel much calmer and more relaxed around each other. We know there is still more work to do to reduce Bozzer's separation anxiety (this is deep rooted in him unfortunately as a rescue dog) but we fully trust that with Alex's support we will get there.
Trainer note from Alex
I meet dogs of all different ages and from experience it doesn’t matter how young or old a dog is, all behaviours can be improved once we identify the root cause of unwanted behaviours and if I can train the parents. I was really impressed with how much calmer Bozzer was when I returned to seem them all and was further surprised with how calm he became when we practiced leaving him home alone. I’m looking forward to catching up with them all again so that we can practice some lead work. Keep up then good work!

26th February 2022 - Alex Fraser
Alex came round and spent a great 3 hours with our puppy Norman. He took on board our feedback and was able to answer our questions clearly with great advice and tips for us to work on. Brilliant trainer, Norman took to him extremely well. Highly recommended.
Trainer note from Alex
I have worked with a lot of puppies over the past 2 years including a lot of first time puppy owners. Getting the basics right is very important. Lots of sleep and full tummies. Norman did really well and I’m going to enjoy supporting them as Norman grows up.

20th February 2022 - Neil Price
Fantastic first session , Neil was very friendly , very knowledgable, he had a great rapport with the dogs
19th February 2022 - Lee Hardy
The training was excellent. Lee explained everything to us and the reasons why they use the practice they do. We did some work with our pup Alfie helping him to know when to stop barking and also walking to heel in the garden. The effects of Alfie responding to the sound to stop him barking and jumping up have been effective from that day. We sat and watched a programme about dogs and couldn't believe that he sat there and watched it with us quietly instead of jumping up at the tv barking. The postman visits are so much easier now! Thank you Lee!
