Bark Busters Reviews and Customer Testimonials

24th April 2013 - Lee Hardy

Lee dealt with Barking, Jumping up

Lee is an excellent therapist. He listened very carefully and was very thorough. Lee was extremely clear and prompted an amazing level of calm in our dog. The effects on his behaviour were immediate and profound. Lee was extremly sympathtic to the needs of Jasper and our household. He has already shown us some superb techniques for instilling calm and obedience. Jasper is already becoming a much happier and more settled dog. We couldn't be more pleased with Lee's help thus far and would warmly recommend his services to others.

24th April 2013 - Lee Hardy

Lee dealt with Hyperactivity, Pulling, Recall

Lee has an excellent understanding of dogs. Northern Inuit / husky breeds are notoriously stubborn and difficult to retrain if the puppy years went by too fast. Lee has really helped my understanding of the habits of Thourne when he's pulling and trying to run off after everything that moves outside. Thourne isn't perfect yet, but he's a lot better after following Lee's advice and I'm seeing a vast improvement as the weeks go on.

22nd April 2013 - Lee Hardy

Lee dealt with Barking, Pulling

We were very impressed with Lee. He gave us a simple word to try and control Nelson barking. We are progressing slowly with this and with Lee's help, I am sure the problem will be solved.

22nd April 2013 - Graham Milgrew

Graham dealt with Barking, Chewing, Digging, Hyperactivity, Recall

Jo has helped us so much in a short space of time. She gave us simple advice and tips for helping to control and become leader to our 'minding' dog Tilly. She is extremely knowledgeable and helped us to understand why Tilly was behaving in the way she was. She is very easy to get on with, makes you feel comfortable and is understanding regarding any training issues - also she is always on hand with advice! Although Tilly is still a work in progress (it's early days and she's a very strong willed little girl!) I would recommend Jo to anyone having behaviour problems with their pooch.

- -.R, Romford, Essex (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
Tilly is a lovely little Yorkshire terrier/poodle cross who insists on "minding" her owners and their home. This is a type of guarding so she barks out of the windows to chase people away and constantly demands attention from her owners to the point of exhausting her owners with her game playing. When she isn't getting them to play or pay attention to her she is digging at the floors and furniture and chewing. Dogs like Tilly don't have an "off" switch and they need good leadership (i.e. the sort of good parenting a boisterous child needs)so she can learn to behave appropriately. She is fortunate to have owners who are prepared to train and educate Tilly and they have thrown themselves whole heartedly into teaching Tilly good behaviour rather than simply telling her off for bad behaviour. They have made great progress to date and I have every confidence that they will continue to do so.

Lee dealt with Aggression, Barking

Lee was excellent, his technique and advice was second to none. Minnie responded very well to the training techniques advised by Lee and we are really confident that she will be a changed dog over the coming weeks. We are already feeling a lot better and glad we made the call to Bark Busters!! Thanks Lee!!!

20th April 2013 - Alex Fraser

Alex dealt with Barking, Pulling

Alex's approach was calm and professional. He listened to us and didn't try to impress us with our dog i.e. how he could handle our dog. We didn't feel he tried to take over from us (which we have experienced with other trainers, which we we didn't find useful and Merlin certainly didn't find useful!) We were very happy with Alex's approach and style of working with us. He was also very honest.

19th April 2013 - Lee Hardy

Lee dealt with Aggression, Barking, Chewing, Digging, Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Puppy management, Separation anxiety, Toileting

The training was exceptionally good and the reasoning behind each technique was explained fully. Lee was very friendly and was happy to spend as long as was required at our home to make sure we were completely happy with the training. Our border terrier, Ernie, responded immediately to the techniques and we were amazed at how quickly he learnt them. Lee outlined our training plan for the future and said that we could contact him at any time. We look forward to seeing him again in a couple of weeks.

18th April 2013 - Sharon Chapman

Sharon dealt with Aggression

Sharon spent a lot if time with us and identified things that we hadn't noticed was happening. The homework has been achievable and we've seen some improvements already. It gave us enthusiasm and knowledge on how to help us tackle the problems

17th April 2013 - Andy Waterhouse

Andy dealt with Barking

We have had issues with Rufus' constant barking. We had an excellent session with almost immediate results! Within 24 hours we have seen a marked improvement in the behavior of all our dogs and we have already booked a follow up session to check we are making progress (we can't wait to show off what we have achieved so far!).

15th April 2013 - Lynn Prentice

Lynn dealt with Aggression, Barking, Pulling, Recall

Since the introduction of Lynn as our personal trainer, we have seen immediate improvements in Ruby's behaviour. We are continuing with Lynn's programme and we are seeing steady results. We find the programme very intensive but well worth the effort. We have found Lynn very helpful and would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone in as much distress as we were.

15th April 2013 - Jacquie Callaby

Jacquie dealt with Hyperactivity, Jumping up, Pulling, Recall

I have seen Jacquie a second time since our first session. Ben had a habit of biting me whilst walking and getting very over excited. To the point it was a horrible chore walking him. Jacquie has helped me re-establish myself as a pack leader. We have no more biting and no more over excited-ness! Result!! I am so happy! I have new plans in place for using his brain which makes a huge difference in the house, making him work for treats and food. Walking him is wonderful now. We are now addressing issues where he is more interested in other dogs (better than biting) so working on his recall. Although what you teach becomes obvious and not rocket science , it takes having someone there with you to encourage you as an owner that you are doing the right thing. And you have seen it all so it helps having experienced and knowledgeable trainers assisting at each step. I have recommended barkbusters to anyone I can.

14th April 2013 - Graham Milgrew

Graham dealt with Aggression, Recall, Toileting

We had had Benji for about 9 months when we had our first meeting with Jo. Benji was a rescue dog and although we didn't know when we got him we are his 4th home including the kennels so he has the best start as he was about 9 months when we got him. Initially Benji settled in well though I should have realised there maybe problems as when I collected him from the kennels he ran around the inside of my car! It was a few months after we had him when problems developed. Benji became more aggressive, particularly to people coming to our house. He had to be put on a lead when I answered the door. He was also becoming more aggressive to other dogs while we were out walking. I had tried dog training classes but this didn't really help as he didn't seem to cope with these well. We had also visited a local behaviourist for a consultation who gave us some suggestions. When Jo came our house it really seem to make a difference to see him at home, she was able to explain his behaviour to us and give us exercises to help regain control and make him feel more secure. It is also useful to know sometimes there are some situation you can't control but that we can do the right things to calm Benji and regain control. It is going to take a long time with Benji but I think with Jo's help we are making progress now.

- -.K, Shoeburyness, Essex (Testimonial)

Trainer note from Graham
This Jack Russell Terrier has some very severe behavioural problems and has been fortunate to find owners who are truly committed to rehabilitating him. His fear makes him aggressive in any situation that he feels threatened in and his owners are patiently working with him to build up his confidence and train appropriate behaviour in a given situation. There is no quick fix with dogs as damaged as Benji. He has had numerous homes and has finally found owners who are willing to take the time and make the effort to help him. It is delight to see a dog who is increasingly looking to his owners for guidance rather than trying to deal with what frightens him on his own. I have every confidence that over time he will trust his owners entirely and react calmly to situations he finds difficult.
