My wife and I got in touch with Bark Busters due to the constant barking from Sam when people knocked at our door and when people were leaving. Alex contacted us and came to our house to meet Sam and to discuss the best approach from Sam's barking. After a couple of sessions working with Alex, Sam has really settled down. His training is still ongoing, but he is a lot quieter now. It is also good to know that we can still call upon Alex if we need his help in the future. Thank you

We are happy with Brody's progress so far and the advice you provided gave us a good insight into dog "pack" psychology and the techniques and strategies we can use around the house to change and modify his behaviour. He is still a very young dog, not yet 9 months old, so we need to keep repeating the training so that he doesn't revert to his dominant behaviour. Brody is now doing really well on his lead and when he is off the lead he returns when called. He is now socialising with other dogs and gets on well with our daughters two dogs and he recently went to the beach with them. We have a busy house with lots of visitors who he still welcomes very enthusiastically but he now calms down much quicker. He sleeps well in his bed on the floor and his toilet training has gone really well. Thanks again

Alex was very understanding of the problems I was having with my dog Monty. It's no exaggeration to say you changed my life! I had to leave my lovely Archie in a cage every time I left the house as he had separation anxiety and chewed everything he could get hold off, leaving it in the hall for me. After just a couple of hours with you and some really useful ideas, no destructo-dog action for over 3 months since you came and no guilt for me!!

Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in providing feedback. Alex came to see us both back April. He explained how and why the training work which was really interesting. She is my first dog and I wanted to get things right. Ever since the first session I have had a well behaved little girl who responded really to the training techniques - I am so pleased. I also love the fact that I know I can contact Alex at any time during the 12 months and he will come back and see me but to be honest I don't think it will be necessary.

I didn't intend on getting a dog, however having lived on my own now for some time I thought a dog would provide good company and somebody to go walking with. He is a lovely dog in the home but was a bit of a nightmare when I took him out walking. He pulled like a steam train due to his size and would lunge at certain dogs. Alex showed me what I needed to do which has worked really well. Simple but effective techniques and his Bark Buster collar is excellent. I now have control over my dog when I take him for walks and we walk for miles every day. Although i am now happy with his behaviour on the lead Alex still comes back to go walking with us both which I really appreciate. Thank you Alex

By the time Alex had finished the first session I could already see an improvement in our dog. He is so much calmer!!

Alex came to help me train my young border collie in early June this year. He was able to provide helpful guidance and ideas which were individually tailored to our situation. We have been able to start with the strategies to improve my 'leadership' role. These simple steps within the house were quickly achieved and have had a real impact! Since his first visit Alex has kept in touch and returned for several more visits and we have progressed to new ways of training on the lead. Alex has always been 'hands-on' ; we have carried out training in my garden and out on walks. After each session Alex leaves notes and hand outs - really helpful as there is a lot to learn. It is really reassuring knowing that Bark Busters provides on-going support because obviously dog training can not be achieved in just one session. Alex is always practical and encouraging, his experience with dogs has been invaluable!

I enjoyed working with Alex, he is very easy going and I felt comfortable. My Cairn terrier Bobbi was adopted from manchester dogs home in december 2012. Her main problem is aggression towards any new dogs she meets on our walks. She is my fourth dog and I've never experienced this problem before so it came as a shock as she is such a sweetie in many ways. Her behaviour knocked my confidence and though I tried not to be, I found I was getting anxious on walks which didn't help. I had searched the internet for tips and tried different ways of managing Bobbi, but came to realise I couldn't handle her without some one to one help. Alex reminded me to be 'pack leader' and when he told me about using 'Bah' I was self conscious at first but I knew I'd have to get over it. I find it also deters other dogs off the lead, as well as controlling Bobbi. She used to bark wildly and lunge snapping and growling. Now we can mostly pass by unknown dogs without a problem! Bobbi has lots of off lead time and gets along fine with dogs she knows and she was ok with Alex's dog Max the first time they met. She's still a work in progress and as I'm an early riser we go out around 7am when there a only a few other dog walkers up and about and we all know each other now. I feel much more confident and able to manage situations. Bobbi responds to 'Bah' very well even if she happens to be off lead in the park and an unknown dog appears, she will come back to me instead of charging off to attack. We're still practicing front door work and her barking at the many neighbourhood cats! All in all were happy and Bobbi seems much more content now I'm in charge.

Even though Arthur is still only 7 months old, the advice given to us by Alex made a huge difference after the first session, poor Arthur was cream crackered after 2 1/2 hrs. Alex is always on hand to provide help over the phone and we will be arranging another home visit just to make sure we stay on the right track. It is reassuring that you can get all the help you need with your dog with no extra hidden costs - money well spent.

Being a massive dog loving family we started off with 2 dogs which quickly grew to 4 dogs and now 5! Now we have a pack and things started to get really difficult with training. Calling the dogs back to us became almost impossible and chasing horses became a real issue (we own an equestrian business). All our dogs have no collars and are free to roam. After various methods of shouting and treats we were not getting anywhere and felt we had nothing left to try. We contacted Bark Busters and Alex came to our rescue. What amazing, simple and easy to use techniques he uses. They worked instantly with our pack......no shouting, collars or treats! Our dogs are now completely different and are so much happier to be in a settled pack. I can not recommend Alex at Bark Busters highly enough! Alex is fabulous with my dog Zak. He obeyed every command Alex gave him. I am so pleased! I know feel I am getting somewhere with Zak. His training on the lead was great. I now take Zak for a walk rather than the other way round. And my commands in the house are finally getting through to Zak. I have even stopped ripping my hair out! Thank you so much Alex
