Really great session and the owners dog responded really well. I’m delighted with the feedback I received in regards to how well she is behaving on her walks. She is far less stressed when out and about. But to achieve a happier less stressed dog on walks, it’s important to change the dynamic between the owner and their dog within the home first. Keep up the good work!!

Really enjoyed meeting Toby and his family. He is the first puppy they have owned and although they were doing OK, they needed some help and guidance to make sure Toby grows up to be a well behaved little boy. Toby responded really well, and I’m looking forward to catching up with them all before Christmas to help with the lead training.

This session went really really well. When I meet nervous dogs that don’t want me to come in their home, I need to make sure I go at the dogs pace. We did far more with Timmy than I initially expected as he was very stressed when I arrived. I was delighted to hear they had taken him out for the day and he behaved himself.Â

Really enjoyed this session and I had a little bit if dog envy - I could have happily taken Betty and Wilf home - but four dogs would be a bit much. With puppies it’s so important to get the foundation right. The correct amount of good quality food (puppies need a bigger percentage con relationship to their body weight compared to that of an adult), lots and lots of sleep, some simple ground rules, and attempting to be a bit more aloof (which is the difficult bit). There is no real quick fix with training a puppy, but with patience and the right techniques, owners will get their in the end. Both dogs did really well. Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed meeting their very large puppy / teenage GSD. Due to it being a really hot day when we did the first session we were unable to do much outside work, however as they chose an option with further support, we will focus on lead work next time we meet. He did really well on his first training session, and I’m so pleased to hear they are already seeing an improvement. Looking forward to catching up in a few weeks.Â

Great session today with Buddy and his Mum and Dad. Buddy was a little nervous when I first arrived, but by the time we finished the session, he fell asleep with his head on my knee which made leaving very difficult. The lead work went really well and I was delighted to hear he walked well on his second walk of the day. Can’t wait to catch up with them all in a few weeks.Â

The first 12 months with any puppy can be a challenge, even if people have owned dogs before! We are never going to fully train a puppy in 3 hours, 3 weeks or 3 months, but I can provide owners with the tools and skills to train their puppies to be well behaved adults when they grow up. Training never ends, but it is not complex and fits in with day to day life, and as long as owners are consistent, they will get the results that they are after!

I couldn’t have said it much better myself. I’m simply looking to restructure the pecking order, by training and empowering the owners so that their dogs trust, respect and listen to them more, and in turn worry less about things outside of their control. Really enjoyed this session and I’m looking forward to catching up with them in the future.Â

Often when we take on a rescue dog we over compensate with love and affection so that they realise they have found their forever home. However in doing so we sometimes make them a little more stressed. By building in some simple ground rules and giving them attention on your terms, not theirs, we should have a much happier dog and owner. Keep up the good work!

Even if we have had dogs before, a puppy can be quite hard work. Some one on one training can certainly get owners back in the right direction, and follow up support can be useful to make sure we address any other issues that might crop up. I’m looking forward to catching up with them all in a few weeks.Â
