My 2 Springer Spaniel pup's were doing things I couldn't imagine after just 1 lesson with Neil. I practiced the things Neil taught us and they are now second nature to me and the pup's. I would fully recommend Neil to anyone.

Our whippet was reactive to other dogs and pulled on the lead - nothing we had tried had any success. We contacted Emma at Bark Busters to see if she could help. Emma reassured us that the training didn't use any harsh methods but neither did it use treats, which did leave us wondering a bit how it was going to work! Emma took a full history and listened carefully to the issues we had before even meeting our dog. She then explained the framework which would help our dog to understand what she had to do, and us to be better at responding in difficult situations. Emma left us with some exercises to practice and a plan of how to proceed, explaining that it is not an instant cure but that over time, our dog would improve. This took the pressure off us so we didn't feel we had to get it right straightaway. However, to our surprise, even the first exercises produced a noticeable difference in our dog's behaviour. We built up slowly as advised and she continued to improve. On about 2 or 3 occasions, we got "stuck" at a particular point when our dog seemed to reach a plateau and we couldn't work out how to progress. On each occasion, Emma was able to offer advice with a phone call, email or a visit which enabled us to get over that hump and to keep moving forwards. Just over six months on, and our dog is completely different. She walks calmly, she listens to us and no longer barks furiously at every dog she sees. We still have to pay attention, but we can now interpret her body language and intervene to stop any unwanted behaviour before it starts. Out dog is generally more relaxed and confident around other dogs when off lead, too. We couldn't be more pleased with her progress and are very grateful to Emma for all her advice and support. And there really were no treats required!

The first lesson was definitely an eye opener . The training tips and advice on the first visit has already generated some improvements in behaviour .looking forward to further sessions to better our interactions with our dog. Credit to Jacquie who clearly knows her stuff.

Luna responded straight away with her threshold issues. She showed me how to provide some worthwhile exercise that helped use up her energy and helping with her recall. Since our session, Luna is already more settled with the noises around the area and not so responsive to other dogs Barking. Since taking her to different fields, she is a lot quieter around birds and only tries to chase them now without her Barking. Her lead work still requires more work and her concentration on me when I'm on the street, she's corner watching what's around her. But the pulling has improved loads . Gavin was really kind and understanding of our problem. Our dog is very nervous and he was so mindful of this for the whole session and in everything he put together for our training. He put me at ease and took plenty of time to get to know me, the dog, and our rather stressful situation. It's clear he really cares about dogs and their owners. In the couple of weeks since we met, I've been implementing the techniques he taught me. I am definitely seeing improvements in myself and the dog, and we are making progress each day. We are looking forward to our next session!

Shauna is an ‘Excellent trainer’ full of knowledge and skills. I was close to wanting to give the puppies up walking was a nightmare-reactionary barking, slipping their harness, unkind comments from members of the public. From the start she was calm and put me at ease. I was shown many basic training techniques. I was given advice, and suggestions for equipment to support training techniques. Advise was given regarding a secure harness. I was sent a lesson plan outlining the content of the first session. I emailed my progress and a few queries. Shauna responded quickly. It has only been a few days but I am using everything I have been shown. I find I refer back to the lesson notes to refresh my mind. This is very helpful. The brothers have kicked back and I am staying firm and I practice, practice. Looking forward to learning more towards controlling my dogs’ behaviour. Thank you :)

Kirsty was brilliant with Storm and Luna sharing her knowledge with us made things understandable and what a different we have and other people have noticed about the 2 Dogs. No pulling or Barking now I would recommend Bark Busters to any one . Storm is a border Collie Luna is a Labrador thank you Bark Busters.

Had first session with Alex and even though i was nervous to begin with as Charlie my 9mth old German Shepherd Dog has nervous aggression towards some people ,barks a lot and jumps up. But Alex soon put us at ease. Alex took time to listen to me and a few family members and explain to us what we need to be doing to help Charlie. I was surprised at how well Charlie did in the first session, really proud of him. Got some great training tips without any harshness. Been given plenty of homework before next visit. I can highly recommend Alex as a Trainer.

Tim was brilliant, he explained where we were going wrong with Hugo, and then gave us very clear instructions how to change things

It’s been one week since our first lesson, we have been working hard to support Bonnie both at home and out walking which is already having a positive effect on Bonnie’s behavior.
